Art Director/Illustrator/super cool Kate Moross releases her inspirational first book ‘Make Your Own Luck’ alongside an exhibition and series of talks….
We’re seriously inspired by designer Kate Moross. Before reaching the age of 21, she had already set up a record label, designed a clothing range for Topshop and created numerous works for the likes of Cadbury, Sony, Vice and Dazed & Confused. From art school student to big time designer, Kate Moross has lived the life that most aspiring graphic artists can only dream of.
Kate’s new real talkin’ book ‘Make Your Own Luck‘ gives the lowdown on how to thrive in art school, developing your own style, how to self-promote, collaboration with other artists, how to deal with “copycats,” and when to consider working for free. Kate Moross also touches on the fine points of music packaging and videos, how to find an agent, and looks back on the touchstone moments that helped shape her career.
In addition, Kate is giving a series of talks sharing her experiences, tips and words of advice for those interested in a career within the creative industry. First up is a freelancing tips & advice workshop on the 19th of April and the second an insight into behind the scenes of making music videos on the 20th.
